A target profile answers the question the raw CAF cannot: is this level good enough? It sets the level each contributing outcome should reach for your circumstances.
What a profile is
A table of expectations: for every outcome, the target is Achieved, Partially Achieved or not required. Your assessment result is then read against it: an outcome is met when its level is at or above its own target. An unassessed outcome always fails its target; being unmeasured is not the same as being adequate.
Who issues them
For regulated operators the binding profile comes from your regulator or competent authority (for example Ofgem for GB energy). XIRIQ ships indicative Basic and Enhanced profiles as starting points; select one on the Setup tab, along with a regulatory deadline if you have one. If your regulator has issued a profile, treat XIRIQ's built-in ones as practice targets only.
How attainment works
- Each targeted outcome is compared with its own target level.
- A principle shows Met only when every one of its targeted outcomes meets its target; one shortfall marks the principle below target.
- The dashboard and report show attainment as met and not-met counts, with the outcomes below target listed so you know exactly what to fix, and the deadline shown alongside where set.
