Depth controls how much work each answer takes and how defensible the result is. Quick is the default; Detailed is available for CAF assessments.
Quick mode
You judge each contributing outcome or requirement directly: one status per item, with optional notes. It is the fastest way to get a first position and is often enough for an internal gap review. The judgement is entirely yours; nothing checks it against the framework's indicators.
Detailed mode
You work through each outcome's indicators of good practice one statement at a time, marking each true, false or not applicable. XIRIQ then derives the outcome status from your statement answers using the framework's own logic. Slower, but every status is traceable to specific indicators, which stands up far better in a regulator conversation.
Switching between them
- Open the assessment's Setup tab and change the depth selection.
- Moving from Quick to Detailed keeps your quick statuses visible while you start ticking statements; a derived status replaces the quick judgement per outcome as you complete it.
- Moving from Detailed back to Quick carries the derived statuses into the quick answers. Your statement ticks are kept in the background, so switching back later loses nothing.
